BIO

Raz Ronen (b. 1980s, Holon, Israel) is a painter whose work walks the line between chaos and control, glamour and grit. Raised in Holon, Ronen's creative voice was shaped as much by what surrounded him as what was missing—sparking a lifelong pull toward rawness, rebellion, and a kind of beauty that resists polish.

His early years were spent drawing on T-shirts and selling them by hand—an approach that still shapes his work: direct, physical, and rooted in immediacy.

Ronen's paintings are fast, impulsive, and emotionally charged. He works quickly, believing that the best art doesn't come from overthinking but from instinct—what he calls "straight from the gut." His brushwork is messy but intentional, irreverent yet magnetic. There's always a bite to it—satirical, seductive, and just slightly off.

His style defies clean categories, merging pop culture and personal mythology, elegance and the absurd. Whether exploring themes of desire, disillusionment, or the spectacle of modern life, Ronen's work remains rooted in one idea: art should be felt before it's understood.

He currently lives and works in Tel Aviv.
